Description

“The traveler breaks into the port,

Like the wave crashing on the shore,

Leaving a part of him there, the infinity of horizons,

And taking with him a piece of the city,

A moment of life.”

For me travelling is a journey of the soul, a journey of discovery that transcends borders and boundaries. As the son of immigrants, my life has been a constant crossing of cultures, a migration not only from one country to another, but from one layer of identity to another. Having grown up in France with roots deeply embedded in Tunisia, my experiences have always been a mixture of these worlds. The paths, I have travelled have shaped me as an artist and as a person.

Every journey is an opportunity to connect, share and grow. It’s not just about getting from one place to another, but about the exchange of ideas, traditions and perspectives that takes place along the way. With my art, I try to capture the essence of these crossroads, the moments of connection where different worlds meet and create something new.

In my work you see reflections of this journey, fragments of my heritage, the influence of the places I have lived and the people I have met. Travel has taught me that identity is fluid and is shaped by every experience and encounter. It is about accepting the complexity of who we are, which is shaped by where we have been and where we are going.

Ultimately, travel is about sharing stories, moments, cultures and experiences. It’s about finding common ground in our differences and understanding that we are all in some way migrants in this world, moving towards something bigger, something that connects us all.
