Mahmoud Darwish’s words—“We suffer from an incurable malady: hope” have stayed with me for years. From that quote, hope is the essence, the one word that carries the weight of resilience, possibility, and the refusal to give up. I first painted it in the Palestinian refugee camp of Ain al-Hilweh, and it continues to shape my work.

The sculpture spells the word Hope. Rendered in my signature pink, it embodies this unwavering belief in hope as a catalyst for change, connection, and progress. It is a visual expression and a reminder that even in the most challenging times, optimism and resilience can shape a better future. It invites you to hold onto hope and to carry it forward, just as I strive to do in every artwork I create.
